What Are You Feeling Today? Not Thinking, Rather Feeling! Can You Identify Yours?

My AM: looking okay, poor sleep, smoked joint, feeling content and optimistic for a relaxing day.
My Noon: yet to be determined
My Evening: yet to be determined

I divide my day into three parts. If I don't feel well in the morning it doesn't mean I had a bad day, I still have two more opportunities to feel good..if that makes sense.

I learned that digging into an emotion (anger,fear, pain, joy..etc) can start from the other end too. If you know where it's usually felt in the body you can start there and trace it back to a very specific emotion like "worthless" or whatever.

@MrMoonlight so very wise ^^^. Not sure what you mean by working backwards, other than a few, eg anxiety, anger, fear, terror? :confused:

Some relief, and different things.

@MrMoonlight , isn't it really so, that nearly every moment has a choice to find good or bad in it? Not to invalidate feelings, but following feelings are thoughts about them? (Which influences what further feelings follow?)

I just learned this in IOP and was going to post about it in my diary but working back from a physical sensation to an emotion like this:

Fear (vulnerability): gifts = Preservation, Wisdom, Protection : Where it's usually felt in the body: Stomach, Upper chest, suffocation

So if in my body I feel this ball of whatever in my upper chest I can say to myself that it's probably in the Fear category in the emotional pinwheel (attached).

This way I can use "Thought Challenging" to attempt to kill it or understand it better.

Yey, I am learning that I/we need to look for the good. Look for the little (w)ins in your day. If you recognize them and take mental note they add up and can really change things. I will be using my dry erase board to keep track.
