Hello

I impulse bought a Nutribullet last night (it was half price $200NZD->$100, and I had been wanting one for a while).

Mine is the Pro series 900W version.

I bought it mostly for making nut and seed butter (will possibly stay away from almonds because they tend to be a harder on the blades).
And for making smoothies.

I wondered if anyone out there also has one and would want to share their favourite smoothie recipe, or alternative uses for the blender (e.g. nut butters) that they use?

Thanks!

I have a nutribullet and love it!!

My favorite recipe is:

1 Kale Leaf
1 cup frozen cherries
1 tbs chia seeds
1 tbs hemp seeds
Some sweetener (splenda or honey)
1 tbs cocoa powder
Add water until it's the consistency you like
Blend and enjoy!

Alternatively, sometimes I take out the cherries and cocoa powder and add frozen mangoes. With the mangoes, no additional sweetener is needed.

Things I love my food processor for
- Chimichurri
- Basil Pesto
- Cilantro Spinach Pesto (almost exclusively for a pizza / flatbread base)
- Hummus
- Curry Paste
- Salsa Fresca
- Frozen Banana? Chocolate Softserve (Or shake if you add more ‘milk’)
- Strawberries & Cream Fappucino
- Pina Colada (virgin or with Rum)
- Dairy Substitutes (see Makini Howell’s PLUM cookbook https://www.amazon.com.au/Plum-Grat...F8&qid=1541978982&sr=8-1&keywords=Plum+bistro, but the savoury soy cream -oddly soy free- is online here Plum Bistro Mac n Yease Recipe )

If you don’t know the frozen banana trick? OMFG. Peel, cut up, and freeze a banana. (Perfect for when they start turning mushy and brown, but at any time). Pop the frozen pieces in your spinning blades of death machine (bullet, food processor, blender) with a couple tablespoons of cocoa powder & a splash of almond milk / coconut milk / rice milk / etc. whirl away & VOILA! It doesn’t taste like banana. At all. Which is freakish. But delicious.

Everything else up there has about a bazillion recipe variations online, but the key thing about any of them? It’s all to taste. So if you want more mint (or discover on accident that raspberry vinegar is amaaaazing, instead of red wine vinegar -hey, the bottles were identical- ) for your chimichurri? Have at.

This sounds amazing!! Better yet, I have all those things. I think I might have to try this tomorrow.

Awesome, thanks @Friday .
Frozen Banana? Chocolate Softserve (Or shake if you add more ‘milk’)
This will be perfect as we're just heading into summer.

Neat I'll have to have a look at this cookbook in general.
But that soy free soy cream.. VERY CONFUSE. Especially because they have tofu in the recipe so it's not like they were going for soy free.

Any who, I will be sure to test out my new spinning blades of death machine on these thanks :D

They’re not. It’s just weird to me that the NAME of the cream is “savoury soy cream” but there’s no actual soy in the cream? Huh? (It probably started out using soy milk, and now uses rice milk).

Oh how fun! Nutribullet was my gateway kitchen toy that got me going with my drastic diet changes. I was off and runnin' to smooothieville and then some. lol

The frozen bananas are definitely a favorite. I'd toss a few of them in with a handful of my favorite greenage, a dollop or two of my favorite nut butter, a few drops of vanilla extract or a little pinch of vanilla bean, and a couple teaspoons of carob or cacao powder and YUM! It was a milkshake consistency in the nutri-bullet, but if I used the food processor, it was more like soft serve nice cream.

My brain has exceeded it's thinking capacity for the night, but as i remember some of my other favorites, I'll come back and share. Hope you dig it and have lots of tasty adventures.
