It takes me ages to read anything. I used to be able to gobble up books. Now it takes days to chew a sentence. Anyone else experience this?

^yes. This used to be a very scary aspect of my ptsd. I never thought it would get better but it did. I'm not sure why but now I'm able to concentrate for longer. Some days though I will lapse badly but I'm less scared that it's now a permanent feature. If I put the book down for a few minutes or even a day or so... and then try again usually I'm ok. If I have too much going on in my head the ability to read, comprehend and remember are dismal so being in the right frame of mind and being mindful about the process of reading are important for me. I need self-discipline now whereas once I simply opened a book and it happened... ..sigh... those were the days...

The Moscow Sleepers - Stella Rimington - Bloomsbury Publishing 2018

A spy novel in the series with Liz Carlyle as the female protagonist. A good read - fairly light weight but entertaining.
