I keep trying to watch Homeland... but it’s one of those shows that -from the little I’ve watched- Needs to be a whiskey soaked adventure in panic attacks and thrown objects (this is why I like BOOKS. Real books. Not the ones I read anymore, on Kindle, but actual bound and papered projectiles I can fling at walls). It’s bizarre little things that set me off. So I’m saving it for when I’m wicked sick & need my heart rate up, and am curled up -removed from the world- with a bottle of bourbon... and an axe to grind. I LIKE Claire Daines, and umpteen seasons in? It’s clearly a good show. I’m just not certain there’s enough booze in the world to work my way through it. Maybe with sex? Maybe.
I’m a few seasons behind on The Walking Dead. I got grumpy when they killed off Carl. For a few reasons. Not the least of which is actually being able to
watch an origin story from its inception. Because that’s where Carl is/was headed. Screw Rick Grimes (not literally :wtf: ). Carl’s story was where it’s at. (And several other characters).
Vikings? Ditto. A couple seasons behind. I can’t really stand to watch Lagertha & Björn get old and die. :shifty: Although I can appreciate the arc. I maaaaaay just rewatch from the beginning of the series, until Björn hits his prime, again, and see if I can watch them fade. IDFK.
I WOULD be watching the Gabriel Byrnes/Epix War of the Worlds... if. I. Wasn’t. Already. Caught. Up. :banghead: OMFG. How I didn’t realize the season wasn’t complete, I do not know. I HATE being caught up. Give me a season to binge on, pretty pretty please. 1980’s waiting a week is not in my patience-repertoire. Nope. I have too many other things to spend my patience on thankyouverymuch.
I got hit by a new favorite series (Killjoys...Yo.
@Ronin) I’ve watched all but the last season, twice. One of their writers must be In. My. Head. I keep getting smacked in the heart by things I’ve said/thought/felt a thousand times... and it’s Uber sciFi (with terrible production value, stellar acting) so it doesn’t hit too close to home. It’s not cancelled, yet, so I refuse to catch up. Nope. Waiting can kiss my ass.
Sigh. All of which is leading up to, IDFK what I’m watching. Little bits of this, little bits of that. But I need to find something.
