Tell Me Something.....

My grandmother's grandfather served 4 yrs in the American Civil War and from family records seemed to have PTSD - his wife left, children parceled out, he never could make a go of anything.

I can raise, butcher, cut up and cook chickens.

I'd rather be outside doing any kind of work than indorrs cleaning the house.

I may possibly have had an organic lunch in high school with my friends and broke into the guidance councelor's office-no idea why except we found the IQ scores of everyone in our class and never quite got over that.

If there's a dam ghost within 20 feet in any house it feels the need to come tell me it's there. I found England to be kind of populated that way, especially the school I went to.

Would have liked to have tried Rally driving. Also Polo, but disliked the whole 'you have to sit on the hood of your Mercedes' to watch it vibe. Just looks like an awful lot of fun.

I worry about everybody.

Never saw a UFO but given the vastness of the cosmos think it's pompous to suppose we'd be the only single planet with the correct set up to support life, and our life being more intelligent than all others. Seems silly-all that vastness out there and only us?

One book has to be re-written, it was done so long ago, pre-cell phones, etc. For 'tweens', set in England, meant to be the first of a series where a group of friends have adventures- that sort of thing. The second grew out of my trauma- it's about an Assistant DA who doesn't know she's an avenging angel, basically. Sort of super natural vigilantae, with self-discovery journies and law versus just etc. Not sure I'm pulling it off and no idea what to do with either but fun.

When I was young, my favorite was the butchering part. I enjoyed swinging them around by the head until it popped off. Then I enjoyed watching them flop around until they died. Morbid, but fun.

I wonder what makes some people able to see/hear them and not others? Sometimes people have me go check out a house they plan on moving into, or have moved into. I can tell as soon as I walk in whether there's any kind of spirit in one. I can feel it immediately.

I have a tattoo of a little star on my foot.

My husband and I were engaged one month after meeting and marry at 6 months...we have been married for 19 years.

Sometimes my husband and I pretend we are writer for the sitcom "Sienfeld", some of the episodes we come up with are so funny we are on the floor laughing.

My son's girlfriend doesn't laugh much, so my husband and I try to do things to make her laugh...still no laugh... so we just keep doing more and more stupid things to make her laugh.

Again my husband and I are on the floor laughing our a** off!

This is such a nice thread- I love reading about everyone! That would be a hint, although it's only because I'm not very interesting so wish to vicariously get a kick out of others.

KP and Niki- oh my! I wish they'd have people like you on those dreary talk shows where the abysmal conditions of marraige in general is the topic-make people smile. I adored these posts!

Jade, this is a wonderful thread. Sincerely, thank you for thinking this one up and starting it. It just "feels" good.

My favorite drink in the world is TAB. Yes, my house is populated with pink cans as there are times I open one, set it down, then forgot I had, it open another, etc. (You get the picture

).

The only critters I am afraid of a cock roaches, cicadas and junebugs (No offense Junebug

) I don't do crunchy bugs!

My husband and I were "star crossed lovers" and waited more than 20 years to be married. We met in high school and then married when we were 40. He actually waited for me all that time.

I love to learn and read constantly. My brain is like a sponge and I can never seem to get enough knowledge. Makes me wicked at Trivial Pursuit.

I am a qualified Chef and have so many gadgets and gizmo's in my kitchen, it would put a lot of men to shame.

I can cook most things from scratch, from soups to celebration cakes. I even made and iced my own Wedding cake.

Though I have to admit, some of todays mixes and sauces, work out so much cheaper and taste good enough not to go to all the effort sometimes.

So yea I do cheat a lot.
