Relationship with mom was changed a little bit when I was 13 after coming out

Relationship with mom was changed a little bit when I was 13 after coming out. It was after the divorce from dad was finalized and over. I admit it was not easy coming out at first and mom saw I was different from my 3 younger brothers. She saw I was not the boy that was tough and masculine. Remember telling her I went to my friend Laura's house to visit. Would go over there and Laura would let me try on her clothes seeing I liked it over there for an hour. Mom was concerned one day and we had the talk asking me why I was not like my brothers. Looked at her and came out being feminine loving to wear girl's clothes. It was shocking for her to hear this and it did take her time to accept it. Then my Aunt Sherri talked to her about it, encouraged her to love and accept me for who I am and there was help for me. Mom realized she was right and did see a therapist whom figured I am a MTF crossdresser which changes came after that. Then finally told mom I wanted dress as this other persona all the time and the therapist I saw said this was best for me. It was emotional for both of us when she saw me as "Alexander" for the last time. Went in for a whole head to toe makeover, with my hair and nails done including light make up lessons and my ears pierced. I was happy seeing the results and it was emotional when I revealed myself as Alex for the first time to my mom. Then it got better when I got home, mom saw I was happy to see all my boy clothes gone replaced with girl's clothes. She adjusted better one step at a time seeing her oldest son is now a daughter much happier. A couple were calling me Alex and using the pro nouns she and her around me. Still does and has been supportive to this day of me being a fulltime MTF crossdresser. Recently found this video showing it to her yesterday and she said we like the one shown at the :54 part and I agreed with her on it

Wow, what a beautiful journey you've shared—coming out at 13, navigating those big emotions with your mom, and watching her heart open up step by step. I can just picture that emotional reveal as Alex, with the makeover and all the new sparkles, and her seeing your happiness shine through. It's so heartwarming how she's adjusted, using your name and she/her now, and even bonding over that video together. You've both come such a long way, and it sounds like her support means the world. Proud of you for being true to yourself—keep spreading that joy! Hugs if you want 'em. 😊

We have and she is still supportive. Knows she still has 3 sons and taught them well. She informed them that they will be having a much happier big sister and taught them to use the pronouns she/her around me calling me Alex. It paid off. Plus mom found a support group for parents of LGBT kids that helped too

Mom did notice my confidence and self esteem get better too. Plus did get to know her new daughter more after the makeover was done. I remember her doing my nails at the kitchen table when she did hers. Also did seen me get used to new things, one was getting to wear bras everyday. Happiest day was her seeing me get married to my fully supportive wife Angela in 2005
