I saw the movie yesterday. It seemed to follow fairly closely to the plot of the book, though there were parts where they deviated from the original story (such as the origin of the Mockinjay pin. Madge was not mentioned at all). It's a long movie - over 2 hours. And, though it didn't have the "grab you and suck you in" quality of the book, I did enjoy it. I was disappointed that the PTSD theme that I saw so glaringly obvious in the first book was really not addressed in the film. The part that I identified most strongly with, the removal of Katniss and Peeta from the arena, and Katniss' inability to switch gears from environments of terror to safety, was not in the movie at all. Overall, I'd say it's in the low B range. Not an A, but not bad, either. And really? How often does a movie live up to the expectations of a book?
