apart from Paul McCartney. He's past it, in my opinion. He wasn't good at the Jubilee concert, and was even worse at the end of the opening ceremony.

I totally agree CB! He sounded awful at the jubilee concert and worse at the opening ceremony. My sister said he's been living off 'Hey Jude' for the last 40+ years and then he went and sang it! We just cracked up laughing! :roflmao:

The Queen and Bond bit was my favourite and I thought it was very brave of her.

I'm enjoying the games. I'm not too bothered about winning medals because that will no doubt be between USA and China but I just like watching it. I like the judo (which my lads used to do), the cycling, swimming, rowing....well everything really.

Such fun!

Go Team GB!!!!!

I was thrilled to see Kenneth Branagh in the opening ceremonies, I have a weak spot for him.

I want to watch the judo but it's not televised here in the US (one half-hour only!) so I will have to catch it online. I also like ladies' gymnastics. I know of a few athletes (kids of friends of friends) who are competing so I'm watching several sports I usually don't, like swimming and track and field.

Was it just me who got worried when the opening ceremony began and it looked like a school play? And also concerned that things wouldn't light properly etc - based on past British experiences! Thankfully, all turned out well and I liked the cauldron especially. I know what everyone means about Paul McCartney, but I liked that the Ceremony finished with a bit of a communal sing song. It was all a bit nuts, really, so why not?

I also liked the torch coming through where I live last week. It was a real carnival atmosphere, and everyone in such a great mood.

I'm not sure I can take the competitiveness of watching anything, though. Maybe I'll just check out this post to see how we're doing!

I'm a bit fed up because I don't have Sky or Cable so I only get the choice of three channels or the red button.

Same here Cath. I'd like to watch some weightlifting , I love the power to size ratio thing. I watched the end of the road race through my fingers covering my face, I could hardly watch it. Also I enjoyed the diving.

:roflmao::roflmao: I've just heard H, turn the TV off the grand prix, to check out the womens beach volleyball .

Cameron van der Burgh wins gold:tup:

Someone help me - we no longer have paid TV and there has only been football and the Olympics to watch. It's like when I was growing up and makes me feel like I've lost independence of choice to some extent. I guess I could always pull out a DVD.

Now, I'm sure just to make me squirm, Anthony has downloaded an Olympic Games App and I normally struggle just getting him to answer his phone..... argh!!!!! :cautious:
