Goodnight all - it's 8.45pm here, time to watch a recorded show, have a hot chocolate and a snuggle before a good night's sleep. Will I sleep though? .... Santa is coming, the Christmas tree is up and the lights are flashing. :woot:

For the first time in 3 years my son is now back into Christmas (thanks to his girlfriend) so they will be around for breakfast. :D It's like the sparkle is back. I think the kids make it that much more special - I love watching them open the presents.

Found a good gift for Anthony and for the first time in almost 6 years, I have managed to keep a secret and not even drop a hint... only a couple more hours to go in keeping my surprise for him. :speechless:

However you spend your Christmas Eve may it be special and I hope Santa comes. I figure I've been that good that I could be spending all day opening presents :p

Merry Christmas to all if we don't get online tomorrow

Perth is 3 hours behind you Nicolette and another hot day almost behind us. Tomorrow the forecast if for 40 C which will be a scorcher for us.

Cold turkey, smoked salmons, prawns and salad for us. Then a nice cold cheese cake and black forest cake. Heaps of freshly sliced summer fruits.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas, one and all. Try to leave the stress and problems outside the door for the day. Relax and chill out. Huge  for everyone.

Especially Anthony and Nicolette who have been there for us all during the year.

This is the stained glass window from the Catholic Church of Maggie Valley, North Carolina, USA. I wanted to share it here today and say also that I have seen the most adorable little statue of Santa with his cap off, bowing to the King in His manger. May you all have a very blessed Merry Christmas!

We had Christmas with my dad yesterday, plus my nieces birthday celebration. It was all so nice to see the kids open their presents, even the teenagers.

By this time tomorrow, my boys will open their presents. They are teens but are looking forward to it. I like seeing them happy.

Two Irish blessings/quotes for all of you:

This Christmas may you have…

“Walls for the wind

And a roof for the rain,

And drinks bedside the fire,

Laughter to cheer you,

And those you love near you,

And all that your heart may desire.”

And

“May you never forget what is worth remembering,

Or remember what is best forgotten.”

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Or, just Happy Holiday's everyone!

A very HAPPY Christmas/Holidays to all!

My boys (19 and 22) will unfortunately get no gifts this year. We have no money to buy them anything (except a box of chocs each), but my Dad-in-law gave us a cheque for Christmas so when I can cash it they can have a share of that.

I think Santa came early to our house as my Sister-in-law came with a small gift or us all (not sure what it is) and then a friend came round with a massive hamper full of Belgium chocolates, biscuits and bucks fizz! It is beautifully presented in a wicker picnic basket. So kind as my friends knew I could not buy them anything.

Kindness of man to man and love is what it is all about, and I value the friendship more than the gift.

Joy to all. x:hug:
