Increase Your Level Of Awareness

For all of us, our traumas have increased our level of awareness, to perceive any oncoming threat, (we have been conditioned). Also to be more intuitive, and sensitive to how people perceive us.

Media influences us to perceive the negative aspects of the world, as well as other peoples perceptions of us, as well as other people. In order to change our awareness level, you have to look inside yourself, rather than the world around you. Focus on all the positive influences in your life rather than the negative.

You don't necessarily have to trust other people, just view them in a neutral aspect (more difficult, the more traumas you've received from certain people). The more you use your intuition of people, and trust your opinion of them, the more you can learn to avoid those people in the future. As well as certain areas and environments.

There are many articles to look up regarding how to raise your awareness level.

The more you see yourself differently, the more it changes how you perceive the world around you.

Good points, Phenioxrising. I wish it was as easy as it sounds.

The more you see yourself differently, the more it changes how you percieve the world around you.

That is so very true. Problem is, you can do that and all is well until the next time a trauma hits you. Then you start back at square one again. Sorry to throw a negative in the mix.

No need to apologize, and very true. But it allows us to move on till the next trauma, then we can take the next one, and continue adapt avoiding behaviors to avoid that kind of trauma. Though, don't let it weaken you to the point of isolating yourself, otherwise you let them win.

Focus on all the positive influences in your life rather than the negative.

Good advice Phenioxrising, my T told me the same thing this week. So I have been focusing on the positive interactions I been having with classmates and professors. In the last several days I have seen a decrease in my depression. Not to say this is the only factor leading to the decrease in my depression but I do know it has helped. The hardest part now will be to keep my focus on the positive instead of the many negative interactions I have experienced.
