Supporter I Am Here To Support My Partner Who Has Ptsd.

Hello,

My partner, who is also a member here has PTSD and is very unwell. We have just started a family and I am finding it difficult to cope with everything. She asked me to join before she became sick and I didn't feel the need to. Now things are worse and not many of my friends understand that I am struggling.

Have you done reading to learn about the condition? Do you have friends and family supporting you both?

Yes, I have read around the subject extensively and about her other illnesses also. I still feel useless to her and lost. My family is supportive to some extent. My mother in law is amazing and has been my rock. My princess has one friend who is very helpful and other friends who try to help. My friends are not as helpful. They only know she is ill, they have no idea how or why.

What matters right now is that you are reaching out for support.

I am glad I joined. I do need support now.

It has helped me tremendously already.
