We had freezing rain the other day and everything was covered with ice! I shot this one in my garden, as it is right next to the front door. I did not dare venture far out into it, lest I might have slipped and fallen. It was all gone the next day. I am glad that I caught a few shots of it though, this is a very rare occurance. I've only seen the branches coated like this maybe three times in my life. I shot photos the first time I saw everything like this too, way back when I was a young teen. I am 58 now.

Sheila, quite a few years back we had an ice storm..basically a ton of rain the immediately froze. I went to take pictures of our local marsh/woods. It was like a lake throughout there. It was quiet and beautiful and every once in awhile you would hear the crackle of ice or the break of a branch due to the weight of it. It was so peaceful. Your picture reminds me of that! Thank you!
