I daily acknowledge how special I am. One of the members of the Blind Council's seeing eye dog died unexpectedly.

What an ugly reality check! I always know I am where I am supposed to be.

I used to have a pet toad that I called Toady. He lived in my garden and I made a special little bath of stones in a bowl for him under the gutter outlet pipe right outside my apartment. I used to visit him a lot and often found him sitting in his bath. Since it rained there a lot, he always had water in his bath. I'd take photos of him, always amazed at how he camoflauged himself into matching colors with the stones in his bowl. When I moved from there I didn't take him with me, as I didn't want to take him from a possible mate there. Also I was advised not to take him, as it might traumatize him. He had a fan club online that loved to see the photos of him I took.

I fail miserably when dress codes are in order, and always have. One reason I saw being a university professor in Humanities so appealing (among other reasons) was because I knew I could get away with a clean pair of jeans and a shirt that was "presentable-enough" for reasonably appropriate attire. :whistling:

My H used to get my favourite flower wrong and buy dahlias which I don't like. He can only remember the name by thinking of Fresian cows. It makes the florist very confused when he asks for a bunch of Fresians!!!:roflmao:
