Are you still having cold weather?

We're having cold weather again now, yes, for a couple of days. I've been so cold even inside that I don't go running around as much. I just do my job (which is finding nuts, seeds, and dried leaves and being a supermodel) and then run back into my taxi box to go home.

Thank you very much for your kind words, Whitney! I had to get over the "beautiful young lady" not being an animal, but now that I have, I'd love to invite her over for when my band practices. We do have lots of fun and it may be a wonderful challenge having her! She'd have to make sure she doesn't step onto any of us! We're tiny, and fast!!! :D

Dear FF (Forum Friends),

I have been having a rough time lately because of all the construction noise. Some old bricks are literally cut in pieces with an incredibly noisy device and some days I hardly get any sleep. Considering the noise they make I am amazed at how little of that little brick wall is gone when I go have a look at the end of the day (your day). Well, they must be done at some stage, right? I'm a bit hopeless... Prime-no already put some big cushions around my cage, but I doubt that has helped much.

Oh, well. Last night (my day) I was out a bit, not much, but long enough to do some posing. I hope you'll enjoy the pictures! Sorry, I have to get back to bed. I hope to be posting again soon! :)

Yes, Finny, since you asked, we are still having cold weather here; this morning we had FROST on the lawn!!! I live up in the mountains where everything is colder though, so I am used to it at least. My dog who is a miniature dachshund (still very large compared to you though!) loves to burrow in my blankets on my bed. She digs down into them and curls up into a little ball. I have a sweater for her when we go out at all, and she loves to ride in her baby buggy too.

She is always polite to our squirrels here, so you need not be afraid of her.

Welcome to the forum Finn. Your Mom is lucky to have such a precocious and lovable ham. I had two hams, but one died and we couldn't tell which one so we call her the highlander. She's a robo-dwarf and her favorite activity is to antagonize the cats from within her cage. Also, she loves her tunnels.

She's quite the explorer. I hope you get to explore the outside world too. Nobody likes being cooped up in a cage... except when there's a wheel.

Hello Sheila, phew, I am relieved to hear that... :) I do have a squirrel friend, Fred. Up to now he's been a penpal only, but one of these days I hope to be able to meet him in real life. He is a frequent guest at prime-no's dad's and real cute. There's a video that I'll upload for you to see.

Every night! Usually I will be running around in our corridor, but since we've had a guest, prime-no let me go out and about in a part of the bedroom. Loads of fun and adventure! She took all the boxes in the house and cut doors into them so I have a lot of stuff to explore and goodies to find while I'm out.

Thanks so much for dropping by. I hope you're all well!

To be honest, I've been freezing lately! Winter seems to be coming back; we're going to have 5 degrees Celcius within the next few days and our wooden floors are so cold when I get to spend some time outside of my cage. Prime-no already put my blanket onto the floor but it's still very cold. I hope I won't get sick.

But anyway... Prime-no did it again! She rearranged everything in my cage! :nailbiting: :wideeyed: She said it's because I'm too noise during her night. So, she put my house into the middle of the cage and attached plastic folders to the lid of the cage so I can't reach and cause a cacaphony in the middle of the night. I feel unheeded in my needs... um... erm... maybe wants... :meh:

So, here's my home as it is now:
