Mmm well here's a pickle first time I am stuck for words !!!!!!!

OK am ex UK special forces having served in 2 para before being AD for a civilian SNAFU, and then did a 5 in 2 Eme La Rep based out of Djibouti in 4 cie, and cea group. Served in some rough old places then did some marine security, and other ah hem questionable work in west, east and north Africa and far east.

Ok so I still get some issues despite having a stunning fiancee and a great job; but there are times when I feel a severe rage diring my day and want to revert to my old trade ,,,,,, also savage flash backs that leave me paralysed and gasping for breath at night.

Doctor in the says mmmm I'm some one elses problem, as not a UK issue. Go back to France and the french will say the same so I am some what screwed.

Have self medicated and waged war on my self with martial arts, meditation, hypnoses for a decade and keep things under control, but hey how long can you keep this up????? I love my fiancee and hate her seeing me screaming and having convulsions and crying. What the heck can I do from here??

Welcome to the forum. Maybe the army can provide you with therapy. After all , they are responsible.

The army need to carry a warning that engaging or witnessing outrages can damage your mental/emotional/psycho health.

And do not go back to your old job.

Don't hold your breath.. UK say see the French legion say you serve and leave..no help. UK doctors are not interested and to be frank post the way we were dealt with I am not surprised
if we got the willies. We would get souped on the below;

2000mg chlorpromazine
or 1000 mg quatralapine
500mg chemadrine
1100mg diazipan
100mg lithium carbide

This would be for around 4 weeks then cold turkey and a slpa and man up your fixed !!!

Take the black and white to keep you awake, the diazipan to calm your breath when shooting, and stop moaning. A decade and three forces after we are some one elses problem so heyho.

I will not go back as I am a Buddhist now and love my family, but the rage and night terrors do not abate... Somalia, Rwanda , Ethiopia, Sierra Leonne, Falklands, Beriut, Northern Ireland, Ongo Niger, Nigeria are not decaf places and these were not world wide news just back street wars fought by forgotten men.

I AM totally at a loss, plus this had two very abusive relationships that screwed me more. I love my fiancee and kids..heck I only admitted to the world I am an ex legionnaire three months ago after a decade of hiding.

So what next? Where do I go? What turn this off ????

Welcome. I hope the support you will get from this great forum will help you.
If you served in UK forces then I suggest you contact combat stress. They will assess you and either offer you help from them or will refer you to a specialist in the Nhs.

As an ex forces member you are put at the top of the Nhs waiting list (fact) so if you are referred to the Nhs for therapy and told there's a 6 mth wait, have none if it :-)

Combat stress are the people you need to talk to, they will understand what you are experiencing.

I absolutely lost all interest in sex. It's not like I even get any. But I used to like my old guy waking my up in the morning.

Now I'm on Fluoxetine and the old guy is raring to go.... Try it yourself it necessary.

I want to introduce you to a guy I hardly know. I happened to meet him in the street carrying a little bag. He said it was for
"stopping him from eating people " said with a laugh. I figured he was in the army, and yes he was he said. I immediately told me that this is what It thought I had, ie ptsd. He is a nice polite young man of something like about 25. You will like him. I will encourage him to join the forum.
