I've got a few odds and ends but hardly a collection - I don't have the room or the money. But I did go to the Doctor Who experience in London Twas Amazing. Loads of real props and characters (face of bo, davros, cybermen/daleks new and old, judoon, hath, cat nuns etc), I've got loads of photo's too!

Thank you to all of you! :)

If you search on the net for the series from 2005 I am pretty sure it is not under "Season .." just the year and episodes, that might help in your search.

cavy, would that mean I'd have to search for e.g. "Dr. Who 2005" is that what you mean by it being under the year and episodes?

if you do start watching this from 2005 you are going to be seriously busy & probably won't get much else done!:D

Fine by me :D

You will be assimilated...

That sounds like the Borg to me!!! :alien:

I'm a bit worried... I wonder if the series is available at all here. It sure isn't on tv and hasn't been in at least many, many years. :nailbiting: Also wonder if they have it in my language. I doN't care, personally, but it being available in my language will mean it might be possible to find it in a video store for rent rather than having to buy it!

the Daleks were made out of cardboard

:D No clue who or what the Daleks are but this sounds funny.

I remember I saw Dr. Who or a commercial for it or something decades ago. Maybe it used to be on tv here... Well, I'm going to find out.

Loads of real props and characters (face of bo, davros, cybermen/daleks new and old, judoon, hath, cat nuns etc)

Reading all this, I have no clue if I can ever follow all those different caracters (?) :wacky: I never watched Deep Space Nine because of all those species coming and going and my "huuuuuuuuge" (not) attention span. :roflmao:

prime-no just look up Dr Who on the encyclopaedia site beginning with Wick - can't put link in. What language do you want it in? Just look up year & Christopher Eccleston.

It's nice to know there are so many Dr. Who geeks on board. I love it.

Prime-no, if you have netflix the first 6 years of the new Dr. Who is available for streaming as are some of the older shows. You can try it out before you buy. It's an awesome show. My friend got me hooked about 6 years ago. I paid the favor forward by getting the hubbie and kids attached. I don't know what we'd do without him! My 11 year old is going to be a cyberman for Halloween.

Starting with the 2005 episodes is sound advice. Move forward then backwards.

if you have netflix

Not available in my country, unfortunately. :(

My 11 year old is going to be a cyberman for Halloween.

Awww. Cute!

super realistic, serious sci fi is what you like you won't get it with Dr who.

I see. I just had a look on youtube and thought the same thing. I like the time travel idea, generally, and would love to see a real episode of Dr. Who (without having to buy it).

exterminate

For those of you who don't take Dr. Who too seriously, you may want to watch this special:

Just came across it on youtube and it did give me an idea of "Exterminate! Exterminate!" :)

(I just checked Forum Rules and think I can post this youtube link...)

:D The Doctor really has Disocciative Identity Disorder .

Never seen that, thankyou prime-no.

Every time I see Rowan Atkinson the first word that pops into my head is "BoB" from Black Adder. Another classic that was very funny.
Also Johanna Lumley in Absolutely Fabulous was even funnier.;)

Candleflames I agree, cute.

You could try (hope I am not breaking forum rules) e-bay.
