News Rape Prevention Nail Polish That Can Detect Date Rape Drugs

Perhaps it is more likely that our society would only prosecute for the crime committed (drugging the drink), but there are other crimes of intention which are punished in our society... such as a foiled plot for murder, breaking and entering with the intent to harm... I think the crime MUST carry the intention to harm the incapacitated victim. People don't just go around drugging other people and leaving them in the bar (or party) to be discovered by friends/employees or strangers. They drug them in the bar, so they can lead them out of the bar, undetected, and then act another crime upon them. So, it MUST carry some intention to harm with it. Otherwise, where's the bite? Where's the muscle behind the courts?

Well, this is what it's called: assault with intent to rape (Carrieanne dubiel it seems to be prosecutable within many states - I didn't actually look to see if it's in all states. I expect that if anything went forward in the legal system starting with detection by this nail polish, this is the charge (or one of the charges) that would be sought.

I'm with those who are of the opinion that this will do more to act as a potential deterrent for a "casual" rapist - someone who would be a first-offender, with the psychological ability to be afraid of detection and adjust their actions accordingly. I think anyone with more intent than that won't really care if drugs are their method of choice; they might just look out for the polish, maybe.
