News Common Decency Versus The Naked Rambler

The people who run around naked and fight for the right to be naked will be the FIRST to protest when everyone is gawking at them, taking pictures of them, and tweeting them out on social media for the world to see. (The truth is, if you're in public, yup, your picture can be taken, and it can be put on the internet with no repercussions. Just how it is.)

@gizmo, I'm only 35 and I don't like it either.

Doesn't the breast law refer only to nipples? As long as you've got pasties on, you're fine, right? (If ever there was a law that was ridiculous, this is it.....Don't get me wrong, I'm against showing such nudity, but at the same time, why is the line drawn at nipples? Next you know, guys will be able to show their schlongs as long as the head is covered. SMH.) [Sorry if that was too graphic.]

but I like a Cornish Pasty.

:roflmao: Yaaaaaay! Finally one of our words for quasi-sexual things comes out British as normal (as I hail from the land where pants = trousers, and your fanny is a G-rated word for bum).

Pasties are either stickers you put on your nipples so your nipples & areolas don't "show". ((Follows the letter of American Law, rather than the spirit, in trying to define how much of a woman's breast may legally "show" before it's breaking indecent exposure laws. Even breast feeding women have been arrested for showing nipple in public  )) They come in a number of shapes; flowers, hearts, stars, hands, circles, skulls, etc. They're usually fairly "substantial". About 4cm-6cm across, and made of silicone.

Or... Stickers you put over your nipples if you're a stripper and need to keep them all erect & puckered. These ones are clear, usually, super duper thin, and shrink wrap a bit. But there are a number of styles. From glitter to tassels.

Well obviously this guy needs to get himself a pasty for his private bits and then it would be fine. Or a fig leaf. What is it that he HAS to display his private parts? He can display everything else apart from that. So get him a pasty.

Sorry, "pasties" are small adhesive patches that cover nipples. Lil' Kim was one of the first celebs I remember wearing them back in the 90's or so. I think I've seen Miley wearing them, and perhaps a Kardashian or two. But yes, here in the USA as long as you have the nipple covered, you're good!

Curious, is it taboo in other countries for a nipple bump to be showing through your bra and shirt? Not so you can see the nipple itself, but rather the bump it makes thru your clothing. I never understood this and never really worried about it either. All of my bras are lined so I've never had this problem. But, its always made me wonder why people freak out about a little bump on the breast? Its like out of all the ginormous problems in the world, women are freaking out about a tiiiiiiny bump! I really don't get it.

Sorry for the confusion!

I can't recall noticing anyone's nipples through a bra/shirt combination. I don't know if they have those nipple covers here or not  thinking about it is making me giggle. @itsKismet is the Lil Kim one when she wore some sort of mermaid outfit to a music awards show, and just had a big starfish covering a nipple? It might not have been her, but that scarred me for life :hilarious: I'm not a fan of needless nudity and silly outfits.

Is he an extroverted pervert or simply committed to his views?

I watched a documentary about him, and in all honesty, I thought he was severely mentally ill. He lost his family because of it. I was commenting to my partner during the documentary, saying it seemed to me like one day he changed so suddenly. That raises alarm bells for me. The documentary could have misrepresented him though, it's not like the media to always show you every side to a story.

So I cannot say either way if he is "a pervert", but he is definitely committed to his views, or he wouldn't be walking around starkers. [And I don't understand how he could have passed a psychological evaluation, based upon how he was during that documentary. I could be wrong of course, but he didn't seem rational at all]

I worried his bits might freeze and fall off , some of the places he was walking around had terrible weather conditions.

Any thoughts?

Yes, many. Including not wanting the imagery @digger mentioned in my head either :roflmao: yuck.

Are we too prudish these days?

I'm not a fan of being at the beach and someone sunbathing nude. I don't know if that makes me a prude or not. I think it's fair enough if it's a nudist or topless beach, but it makes me uncomfortable. I don't want people walking about the streets naked either. I think nakedness is nothing to be ashamed of, it just doesn't need to be inflicted upon innocent bystanders who are wearing clothes.

And it's too bloody chilly to be wandering about the moors naked anyway, he'll catch a cold :D.
