Here is the UK, the Naked Rambler has been prosecuted for persisting in wandering naked in public. He even claimed that a previous trial against him was unfair as he was not permitted to appear in court naked.

Any thoughts? Are we too prudish these days? Does the punishment fit the crime? Is he an extroverted pervert or simply committed to his views?

I know I would not want him in my town, but then I know I am biased.

It's totally inappropriate simply because young children might see and I feel uncomfortable about that, I don't have children but I wouldn't want them to be exposed to his naked body.

There are rules for being in society whether we like it or not. If he wants to be naked all the time, he should buy a large tract of land out in the middle of nowhere where he can run around in his birthday suit to his heart's content.

Just wanted to add that I would feel the same about this if the person was female, it's unacceptable regardless of gender.

There was a big thing not too long ago about whether or not it was legal for women to go topless in New York City. Turns out it is. That doesn't bother me as much, because I think the female torso is the subject of too much scrutiny and censorship, overall. But as far as the procreational bits go, I think if you live in a place where the custom is to keep them covered when you are out and about, then keep 'em covered.

Whilst I entirely agree with you I find it curious that we humans are so hung up on nakedness. This guy is clearly one extreme and the other end of the spectrum is the burka, covering everything except the eyes. How have we become so diverse in what is acceptable?

I totally dislike nudity, but accept it as normal behaviour in some households, children or not. The problem with this guy is his presumption that we all have a human right to not wear clothing.( and by default we do not have a right not to see nakedness)

I think it is inapporpriate. There are places where people can go and run around naked like beaches and nudist camps. I would not want to see him naked either. I think about the children not used to things like that. We have to draw the line somewhere in my opinion.

I am biased and I am older and mabe stuck in my ways. I am very uncomfortable with public nudity and I am repulsed by the naked display. In the US they arrest people for that. Mabe i am stuck in the middle ages.

I do not believe in Burkas either.

I am striving with the freedom of others and the freedom of me.

There are groups of pedophiles pushing and lobbying for the right to molest children. i am so opposed to that.
