I know that Death (the username) is still around. I've received recent messages.

I liked the last post that I could find.

Something like: Will glass coffins be popular? Remains to be seen.

Count 1, 2, 3, Oh NOW you get the joke.

I do not like this in terms of trauma recovery and current poltical environment. I have no control over other posts but this is very negative

Not meant to be negative. I truly apologize if you're offended. Not my intent.

Maybe I should have done an explanation. There were more humorous threads then, it seems. Adding some comic relief

Death is an actual user. I've not been active lately but REALLY needed and participated in the early 2010's. The lighthearted jabs with Death helped me get by when I didn't have many smiles at home.

The "You have PTSD If..." thread started out that way. Like Jeff Foxworthy's "You might be a redneck if..."

Back then, as a supporter, a therapist pointed out that I was joking a lot, like I didn't care, as a protective mechanism or overcompensation for all the worry and fear I was feeling. I still to that to a large extent.

Again, I am sorry if you were offended. I apologize.

I appreciate the dark humor. Thank you!

I think it's utterly inappropriate for a trauma website, where many people are actively grieving deaths, often very traumatic deaths, or have nearly died themselves, due to trauma.

Or the other side, it is something inevitable, something you must come to terms with, something that can be a little amusing and relief from the reality of real world issues. How you choose to look at things is everything, and also your choice. I choose the light hearted aspect, you choose the negative one. Neither is right nor wrong, but neither is the reason that something is simply, not.
