. just another soccer mom turned "mental health professional" looking to cash in on being burned out.

Can't get my phone to quote correctly but my thoughts exactly @The Albatross seems she is just in it for the money.

It states that it is about ANTISOCIAL Personality Disorder.
I went back and reread it. And you're right. Is it possible this got changed? Because I was SURE she lumped all PD's together. I also no longer see the part where she splits PD's into 2 groups and says her warning applies more to one group than that other. The piece, as I read it NOW, makes sense and isn't particularly incendiary. Someone else reread it and see what you think.

@Lucycat , when did you read it for the first time?

EWS" Exhausted Woman Syndrome

Is there a DSM code for EWS?

It is interesting that her book will solve all of the EW's problems (or at least pinpoint where they need to get additional help). I'm always a little suspicious of articles (and books) that start off with "10 Ways to..."

BTW - re: the daughter's shoe. There is an excerpt of her book on Amazon. Apparently, the girl's shoe smelled bad and she stuck it out the window to air it out. It actually makes sense to me!

did not see this article in the same light as many others clearly did. It states that it is about ANTISOCIAL Personality Disorder. Not all PD's. You cannot assume she is using it to refer to all PDs.

She (or someone else) edited the title and removed a good portion of the introduction. In the original article she lumped most of the PDs together and recommended that her suggestions applied to about half of them. She also removed the statement about clients with PDs "coming back". I suppose the article makes more sense now, but I'm not sure she has the expertise to be writing it.

@StellaBlue I tried to upload a picture of that chart, but the site is saying it's too large.

I appreciate the effort!

The title of the article has been edited it was originally: "14 Safeguards for Therapists Working with Personality Disorders" and it now reads "Safeguards for Therapists Working with Anti-Social Personality Disorders" for starters. So yeah there was an edit. The footer too now reads "Last reviewed: By John M. Grohol, Psy.D. on 24 Aug 2015" as well. So the article is now 'tweeked'.
