Relationship 32 Years And I Finally Need To Ask For Help

Thanks to you all for your support and information. I have done some research. While Congress did pass an amendment to prevent 3rd parties from attaching a Vet's disability the Supreme Court says this does not include family.

Since the benefits are given to the Vet to support him and his family VA disability may be attached for spousal maintainence and/or child support.

I feel so much better knowing that now no matter what happens I won't starve.

Now, if I could just reach through to him and get him to believe none of this is necessary when there is so much time, love, heartache and work we've put into 32 years of married life.
