9/11 Coverage Is Toxic

USA is safe...the network that is. I rather watch rape/murder dramas on SVU than 9/11 coverage.

Even this thread is agitating me. No offense to anyone posting, as I'm already on edge.

I am having a hard time with the coverage and the need to remember the tragedy. I am watching other things. It was a very bad thing that happened that affected alot of people. They insist on reading the names of the plane victims. But what about all the first responders who have died or are dying to cancer of various sorts. It just goes on and on. It is just too much for me. It gave me a bad feeling. It affects my daughter whos birthday is tommorow. She said she will never be the same.

This is an extremely difficult time for me and I am avoiding the airwaves myself as usual. I thought I would do better but this year one station is running the full first 2hours of the original NBC airing play by play of exactly what I witness that same morning in total fracturing disbelief. I was caught into it before I knew what was happening yesterday. I can't imagine what they were thinking!?!!

I get that avoidance isn't all that healthy for the direction I am heading but that was what, I just don't know...

For me, I have a birthday this time of year as well and loss is all I understand at this time. It effects me greatly, it effects me personally, everyone grieves differently and views what happened in different ways but the fact remains that no matter where innocent people lose their lives it's tragic, despite the origins or politics involved.
