I just wanted to post a very big and public thank you to the lovely people in chat land.
Twice recently I have been very unwell and turned to chat for some help and support and received it by the bucket load. The first time was a couple of weeks ago when I collapsed at home following passing out and being unconscious for over 10 minutes the night before and spending the night in hospital suffering from exhaustion and a complete mental and physical breakdown. There were various folk on chat at the time who were wonderful and persuaded me to call an ambulance when I otherwise would not have done. They very kindly stayed online with me, talking to me until the ambulance arrived and offered me amazing support that I will never forget at a time when I was very scared indeed.
the next time was this morning. I had not slept at all hardly last night having spent the whole night in very bad pain with muscle spasms in my shoulders, neck and back. I could not move, had been sick several times and was just crying with the pain. I had taken the meds I have been given by the doc for it but it just was not touching it. I was finally persuaded by initially @Ursafetyfirst and then by @Mr Laurie that I needed to call for help. Again, their care and support was amazing and I just wanted to say a big thank you to them for good, sound and sensible advice and incredible support when I really needed it. I eventually called my doctor and told him it was an emergency as I was in a pretty bad way. He came out to me, checked me over and gave me a shot of morphine and a muscle relaxant which made me a lot more comfortable very quickly, if rather spaced out and dopey. Had it not been for you both I would probably not have called anyone and would most likely still be in pain now. You are amazing people to be around and I am proud to consider you my online friends.
So, thank you so very much to everyone in chat for all the help, support, the laughs, the tears but an extra special thank you to those of you who were involved in these two awful times for me. You are amazing and so kind.
