Do you ever go through the day and things are just okay...your at least breathing, and then it's like a light switch turns on/off and your in depression so deep you want to die????

Sorta, happens from time to time... but I've been figuring it's often sorta triggers and build ups we don't notice because we are distracted

I hate when that happens. It's like standing out on a cold day. You're dressed for it, thinking "It's miserable out but I'm prepared for the day."

Then a car drives by and splashes you. Such a minor inconsequential thing. But now you're freezing and miserable.

Yup, been there. Hope you get out of it soon.

What I hate is when that switch goes off my world goes black -the depression, hopelessness and suicidal thoughts . I can't function and I have no idea what made that switch turn...

Definitely been there. I think it's because your mind and body remember unconsciously that something bad happened to you in the pasta be automatically hits the panic button. But the only thing that makes it to your awareness is suicide. I don't know if our brains ever calm down enough to know that just bc we experienced something horrible does not mean we have to be in a crisis ourselves and act on it. It almost seems like we have to give ourselves permission to remember, acknowledge, and know that it's OK to move on. I've been struggling with this myself lately.
