A Little Anger, You Think?

Well, had an interesting session with the T today, "you seem to harbor anger" Well yea, a bit, 1972 my cousin was blown out of the sky in Vietnam, ok during my fifty years I have seen maybe 9 or 10 years of peace, actual peace. now I get the shit taxed out of me for f---ing what, another f---ing bomb to drop on someone or to help these kids who volunteered, and the bomb is always chosen. Or pay for another country for their defense with American largeness, the largeness is always chosen.
Am I wrong in my thinking no more bombs, no more largeness. lets take care of our own! f*ck the politicians take care of everyone who have been sucked up into the stupid wars because of the vanity of an president finishing his daddies war or the Truman doctrine . No more, I walk these streets of America and see the same issues that our government is trying to solve in other countries then demand obedience of the country they give the money too, because the government cannot demand the obedience of its own population.

Hmm... seems to me if you're in you're 50's and you justify your feelings of anger by siting a cousin in Viet Nam... you're borrowing angst or appropriating it. If you're pissed off you don't need to go back that far.

Then you blow it up to institutions... the government.

So tell me, what are YOU personally (cuz you evaded that) angry about? Do you know? Are you willing to share it?... cuz your post is angry enough... but there's nothing about YOU.

P.S. I had a weapons grade sponsor help me recognize I was borrowing or appropriating anger rather than express what was distressing me personally. She was right. I was. It was not acceptable for me to emote or express it... I had to work through it.

Hell That is what I am asking, Yes I am sick of war but why did T even go there. Yes cousin died during war yes I have seen the effects of war from my uncle WW2, Dad Korea, cousin's Korea and Vietnam. one of my cousins barely survived the pentagon attacks of 9/11why does T feel it impacts me.

My question was rhetorical as I can tell by your post that you are not military. to answer your question, "...am I wrong in my thinking...?" well, I'd have to say yes, you're off the reservation. War is not fought with only bullets and bombs, if you were military you'd understand this. You only know what the left wing news media loves to show you, and that's shit blowing up. When in actuality this is a new kind of warfare.

General Krulak referred to this war as the "three block war"; a war that might see you conducting peacekeeping operations on one block, humanitarian aid on another, and yes "bombs and bullets" on a third. This war was about winning hearts and minds not about racking up a body count, if you were over there you would understand this. I watched an infrastructure being built, schools being erected, mosks being rebuilt, power plants being protected, food and soccer balls being passed out to children, elections being born, so I know first hand the horrors of war as well as the spoils and can speak of it, you know nothing of it.

Can you be angry for your loss? absolutely! But don't sit here and pretend you know why when you haven't even seen with your own eyes only through the agenda of a very politically charged news source
