Over the years I've written poetry/song lyrics to help me through tough times, and often when I feel a bit emotional. Watching my friend go through her ups and downs, and reading this forum made me wonder about some things.
I've seen her mother ignore her, "the less I know the better", her father embarrassed by her, her brothers cringe and her friend of 25 years bails on her because I sent one email asking him to treat her like a friend and to stop taking advantage of her. Lots of people have suggested that I ran, I ran so far away, I ran both night and day....sorry...and it makes me wonder what we do when someone suffers many afflictions/disorders because of a multitude of crimes/incidents against them .
I've decided to be her friend, because I really think she needs one. I can't say what will happen, but for now there's just too many things that need to be talked about, so I'm not going to pursue anything beyond friendship. I feel bad for her, not that she's my problem to fix or my responsibility, but she didn't ask for bipolar/PTSD and because she does sometimes lose control eveyone bails on her. Well, I like her for who she is, despite the problems. I don't like being treated improperly, but right now it's not bad enough to bail on her like everyone else.
Too many people go into things with one foot out the door, just waiting for a mistake. I've written more for her than anyone else...and it's only been four months!
You can bail if it's just too much, but when do we decide to stay and support a sufferer? What do we do when...
She's Crying Alone?
She catches a dream
And then it fades away
She quiets a scream
She knows her tears will stay
The mirror can’t lie, she’s standing alone
She used to have, a love of her own
She catches a dream…
And she saves it for another day.
She’s reaching out,
And wonders what went wrong
She’s searching in doubt
And plays her favorite song
Where are her friends? They’re running away
She grabs for their hearts, but none of them stay
She’s reaching out…
She cries but she wants to be strong.
I tried to touch her heart
She’s trying alone
But it’s too late to start
So many things, have happened to her
She questions her life, and nothings for sure
She’s crying alone…
But her tears only tore us apart.

She’s crying alone, her tears roll away
Searching for love in the darkest of day
She finds what she lost but she can’t make him stay
She watches him leave with nothing to say.
She’s crying alone, her tears as they are
Searching for love in a dark empty bar
She finds what she lost but it doesn’t go far
She’s crying alone…she wishes on a shooting star.
She’s crying alone,Searching for love in the darkest of day
She finds what she lost but she can’t make him stay
She watches him leave with nothing to say.

She’s crying alone, her tears in the night
Searching for love in the darkest of light
She finds what she lost but it's just out of sight
She reached out for me but it just wasn't right
She’s crying alone, her tears on her face
Searching for love in a dark empty space
She finds what she lost it will never replace
She’s crying alone…She just wants to find her place
She’s crying alone…..
Searching for love in the darkest of light
She finds what she lost but it's just out of sight
