Started in Mayottes south island.... rippled everywhere. Pretty cool. They think possibly a huge magma chamber shifted, or collapsed, could be the start of a new island in the area- or a submarine exploded.....

Face of 9,500-year-old man revealed for first time

AHEM! Silly title. It should be noted the skull is only probably male. The bone features are delicate enough to be female. I think the artist did a good job with the inherant androgyny, although I’m curious how they determined relative age with wisdom teeth removed and other age markers -beyond cranial suturing etc. that indicates an adult- missing. Fairly certain there was something, but the article didn’t go into it.
