Age You Were When You Understood Your Own Mortality

Most young children don't understand the concept of death fully.
Usually, people don't fully understand it can happen to you until sometime in the teens. But, it is still a remote possiblity. "It can happen but won't happen to me"

I think I understood the finality of death and it could happen to me around age 14.

The thought bugged me for a while. But death hasn't scared me for a long time
