Blackjack, I am so very sorry for what you've been through. I can't imagine how horrible it would be to have to go to a crash site and identify the bodies, etc. It must have been truly awful and don't you for a second blame yourself or feel bad about your grieving. It is so necessary. And your symptoms are par for the course. I wish your family might understand, but we are your PTSD family and we understand each other's symptoms even if we don't always identify with each other's traumas. Lots of different experiences have brought us all here. I trust you will be on the receiving end of much support and caring, which you so need right now.
I've recently been thinking that PTSD is thicker than blood. I feel much closer to people here than I do to my own family of origin (hubby excepted). I even think PTSD is thicker than politics, lol, and for me that's saying a LOT, as I am a committed lifelong Democrat, and the vast majority of Republicans I love are on this forum :-). I'm also so glad you got in touch with Ed. You both have something special in common. I have never liked flying, but you can always pm me for some tlc, if you think it would help :hug:s.
