Hello everyone,

I thought I'd post a quick introduction. My name is Erin, and I've signed up on this board to support my boyfriend [who is a veteran of the Iraq war] during his treatment. Even though I've joined this board as a "Carer", I've also been a sufferer of PTSD myself as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse.

I am grateful to have found this board, and look forward to learning more and chatting with all of you. There seem to be some great resources on here, as well as some wonderful support. :)

We have a wonderful support system on here, for carer's and sufferer's. You will find loads of information on the Home page, to help both of you through this.

Any questions you need answering, just ask. There are many members on here who will answer any thing you are not sure of.

What a great person you are searching for ways to support your bf...I guess you know exactly how he feels since you have PTSD. How long has it been since you were diagnosed?

My husband and I both have PTSD and still struggle not to have symptoms at the same time. Not a good place! lol..

Please tell your bf thank you from me for serving his country and taking my place. (I'm a veteran) The whole situation over there is completely nuts to me! Our men and women are suffering for what? Anywho...off my political soap box..sorry! If you need someone to chat with, just let me know.
