That is so cool you got your dress in one shot! I remember being a bride's maid and fortunately, I was out of town, so they simply got my measurements and picked something for me! All I had to do was show up for the fitting!

I'm so excited for you Nicolette & Anthony! Really, & Congratulations all over again. Plus, great news to hear that you found the right wedding dress for you and without worry at all. I'm so very happy for and proud of each of you.

Never did get the chance to comment on how good it is to hear that Anthony is (and or was) enjoying renovating. Don't know whether he's still got renovation jobs in mind or if he's done with it them for now, but I do know that such hard work can be not only very enjoyable and rewarding, but therapuetic as well.

I do all sorts of things around our house, when the winter is passed, and I simply love such accomplishments.

But again about your Wedding Cake. Much more then a nice pick, .......but a Beauty.

Ok, this is the third attempt at doing this as the stupid file was too big and I kept loosing all my text.

Hope, I wanted to say thank you for your kind words and your encouragement. Anthony has started renovating outside and is a much better person for having a positive outlet. His PTSD is much better compared to when he sat on the computer all day and he has learned so many new skills. It is great watching him accomplish things. (Sorry this is the short version as after 3 attempts I'm over it.) He actually has a sun tan now too!

Leda, thanks for sharing your daughter's beautiful flowers.

Attached is a basis for my bouquet and while I explained it all twice before - now I'm tired of re-typing. Basically we will tie the flowers in with the cake having the phalenopsis and dodo vine as well as with the bridal colours. The bouquet will be similar to this but not the same. I do love tulips but they won't be in season so I didn't want to disappoint myself.

Also, the bottom tier of the cake has changed slightly so it has a gold fleck to capture the gold embroidery in my wedding dress.

Can't tell you too much more as you never know....Anthony may actually read this girly stuff :rofl:

I too am not a big shopper and found my dress on the first day and loved it, still do. So congrats..

It's wonderful when you can really put your own style into the day and it looks like you are managing to do that.

I had a teardrop bouquet and I thought the shape was so just lovely, so with the soft flowers like that, it should be beautiful.

Again, congrats and just enjoy the day, it will fly.

The flowers are beautiful!
I got married in Septmeber, so I had silk flowers. Not the cheap and ugly silk, but the lady who made them did it with water colors and dyed each petal herself so that the colors blended. I have the bouquet hanging on my bedroom wall.

Wow, gold embroidery! Oh gosh, I can't wait to see the wedding photos. You will be a stunning gorgeous bride!
