Well, what most of us already knew, finally some physicians decided to go against the drug companies and perform some independent studies on anti-depressants, and the results conclusively proved that they are useless on mild to moderate depression, and only found to be effective on severe depression.
I think we have all known, well, anyone who has tried anti-depressants, you have more issues with them than they do good with daily depression of a mild nature. They worked for me for a short time when I was really badly depressed during the initial aspects of PTSD... basically when I didn't know what it was, how to help myself, how to manage myself. They work for a short period and then totally useless... to the point where they counter their initial purpose and as you become less depressed by yourself, the medication often makes you more depressed or suicidal, violently sick, etc.
The dawn of a new era is coming around were physicians are getting more under the microscope, the Internet is greatly improving accessibility to information and people are questioning physicians more than ever. All of this is really starting to improve our medical advice and give less dependence to the corruption that comes from corporations, ie. pharmaceutical companies.
Yeh!!!
I would say that many should be proud that we have had it right here on this site for many years, being that the best results for depression are obtained via a balanced combination of common-sense, being:
