My initial highly jaded gut reaction is no, hell no, without having the current attention span to read and absorb the whole article. It feels, to me, based on my many unpleasant experiences seeking help through medication, like an attempt to further dull the senses while steadily knocking out other unseen and much needed support systems within our bodies that we blindly rely on for overall health and wellness, very frequently leading to needing even more medical interventions ahead to help deal with and patch up all the side effects.
Are they going to provide accurate, helpful, and sustainable education to go along with it so folks who most likely already have a very disruptive digestive system thanks to the current food supply can learn how to healthily restore their gut flora, etc. that'll be wiped out in this process? I doubt it, as they don't generally offer that kind of information, especially unsolicited, with the massive amounts of antibiotics and such that they prescribe now. Again, this is just my opinion based on my unpleasant experiences and what I've observed through the years of being immersed and trying to figure myself out.
It seems much more likely to me that there will eventually be a recall of some sort and/or a commercial saying, "Did you try Doxycycline to help prevent/treat your ptsd and suffer substantial losses? If so, call us today and we can help you get your part of the legal settlement." Everyone's mileage varies, of course, and many meds have gratefully helped many beings live more comfortably, so if it genuinely and healthily helps some, may it be, and may it be soon. I just hope it's done kindly, wisely, and with additional meaningful-to-each-individual supports that are accessible to all who need it.
