How do I overcome having anxiety attacks/crying episodes in every session when my therapist brings up anything remotely related to the incident? I feel like I'm getting nowhere.

You may have made a choice that you regret - a mistake - but try and remember that they are responsible for their actions as well, and it was their choice to hurt you, not yours. I'm really sorry for whatever happened to you. And therapy can be tough. But you are talking about things that have caused you a lot of pain, and it's actually natural to still cry, and panic, and all the rest. Eventually those things will begin to fade. For now, as long as you are still showing up, and making a real effort to work on it - give yourself a gold star, and remember that it takes time.
