These anxiety attacks are hard enough to deal with but when you sweat as much as I do, it is doubly difficult. I put on clean dry clothes, go out for groceries and by the time I get home I am so soaked with sweat you would think I had just gone swimming in my clothes. Seriously, it is unhealthy, nerve racking, embarrassing and just causes the anxiety to escalate even worse. I walk through the grocery store with a pretty fan in my hand like the ladies of the Victorian Age fanning myself as the sweat drips from my chin.

I am sweating now as I write this (anxiety--I always get it when posting) and I am sitting under a ceiling fan, set on high with the a/c set on 60 degrees.

So, do you sweat too? ? ? ?

HI, I do not sweat but I saw no one responded yet and I did want you to get some kind of response. Can you go to your family doc and see if there is anything they can do to help you? I would want some peace of mind on this situation. You could always do a online search about sweating and see if you can get any answers.

Sorry I am not helpful to you. I wish you the best and hope that soon you will find some answers to your questions. Let us know how it how it turned out ok?

Been gone for a long time and have nothing to report. Doc says it is the anxiety that causes my problem and other than drugging myself into a state of ''zombie'', I just have to deal with it. I am now, however, having anxiety attacks in my sleep(dreams) and get so wet it wakes me up so now I am not sleeping very well.

@grama=herc....I do sweat too!!! and let me tell you it is not a pretty site. I usually just break out in hot flashes that do not last long but today topped it all....I woke up in a puddle of sweat and after showering I figured it would have stopped it. I got dressed and was still sweating so I figured OK it will go soon they usually don't last long so I went outside to wait on the bus and it was like needle's pricking at me because all the sweat on my body, not to mention it was 20 degree's out!!! The whole time i felt like people were staring at the sweat pouring off my face.

I am still sweating so I am guessing that it is from my anxiety.Have you found any remedy's that have helped with your issue? Maybe I could take some advice you may have and use it to benefit from with my issue as well......

I sweat too. It is so highly embarassing, if my anxiety isn't enough to cause me to stop going out, then the sweating finishes the job! I don't go out anywhere because I know I will sweat.

I often sit in my T's office and will have sweat running down my face and dripping off my chin. Lucky she knows what is happening and why. But, i feel disgusting and abnormal and not human. It's horrible!

I'm sorry this happens to you. I have no idea how to stop it either!

My husband sweats a lot too.

Yesterday when I was cutting his hair, which I have done for years, it was pouring out of him. So you can imagine how he is when he is put under pressure he cannot control.

I am starting to sweat at night again. I was so glad when it quit. I am very sorry it started back up again.
