Are shame and disgust the hardest emotions to tolerate?

If I have a memory whose content is naturally disgusting to humans, I'm going to feel disgust.

I’d also argue that very little is universal. Where some are disgusted? Others are going to be touched by your kindness, proud of your courage, saddened by your loss, enraged at your injustice, inspired by your determination, etc.

Difference in perspective.
