Uhm... I'm really not sure how to go about asking this, but as I am working my way through the sexual abuse I suffered, as I think about the specifics, I find that it seems to get me aroused. Jesus f*cking Christ... is this normal? has anyone else felt this way? or am I just really f*cked in the head?

No, you're not really f#cked in the head and one day you won't use that term even in your thoughts. I used to think it all the time. Never occurs to me now to think that about myself.

It's all about the physical pathways in the brain. By pathways I mean routes of brain nerves (neurons) that are used for each activity or memory we do/have. When sexual arousal happens there is a roadway or pathway of nerves that are activated. These would eventually lead to the nerves in the genitals that cause blood flow to the area which is all a normal part of a human's physiology.

The brain and these nerves do not know how to differentiate when you are talking about abuse so the nerves are still activated.

I recently met my brother again who abused me and I felt physical arousal every time I thought of him. Freaked me out too. He makes me sick.

May I suggest you tell yourself it's just your nerve cells activating. It wont be forever. It won't stay that way. It will change I am sure.
