I changed my name completely a few years ago. Best thing I ever did - and was the start of a journey of owning me as my own entity.

C29C84DA-5CA6-4AB4-8B3A-7C8B3431F514.jpeg I am an active self taught artist. I started out exploring different styles and techniques in painting and have developed my own unique styles along the way. Often my work is Intuitively led and how I process emotions that are coming up for me I work in large scale acrylics that are abstract, and surrealism, as well as smaller watercolor works. Here is one of the last works I created in watercolor.

@Ironlady, this is marvelous!!! I admire anyone who can capture the human form in a fanciful manner. Me, I love abstract art, too. I think it is the "feel" of the lines, flowing colors, and sometimes, textures that speak to my inner self. And I tend to gravitate to curves and circles. Don't know why, just do. And I admire that you can do watercolor. No can do, here in my world...total frustration. I have to have the order of lines and definite boundaries. Kudos to ya for a great piece of art!

Thank you so much @Still Standing. Faces take a lot of concentration for me and depending on where I’m at in my head I can’t always execute. Lol. However abstracts are my love and so very freeing in what they offer in terms of expression. I have learned to appreciate what others do but to not compare. ;) watercolors are tricky and do require some letting go and allowing Ive found that this has been helpful in learning how to allow the process instead of trying to manipulate it into this expectation that I can never attain.

Orders, lines and boundaries are your own beautiful unique energy and expression. Much respect and love for those. Thank you again for your kind words and you keep creating the beauty that expresses itself from you. I’m glad you have that outlet!

    Thank you! @berlinda

humming bird close up.jpg Humming bird.jpg

This was the most awesome experience in nature I have had in awhile. I was watering one of my plants outdoors and this tiny humming bird came up to me, so close I could reach out and touch her and then just stayed there motionless for a moment, before flying off into the sky. We had eye to eye contact, she was that close! I felt as if she were a gift from God to me. So precious.

This one's message should be clear, but I must say, doing lettering is not my forte, though I think I did do an OK job of it!

    One Last Goodbye

    My father's face,
    cold, lonely, and empty,
    so wrinkled,
dependent on others to care for him,
    and he waits to die.

My father almost one hundred years old,
    he is too old,
to crippled and he reeks of death to come,
wishing for only one thing before he dies,
peace between my brother and I.

    My father waits to die,
not knowing the reason for our dispute,
he does not know the truth,
which was spawned in our youth,
    and he never will.

He is no longer strong man I came to know,
instead weak and easily manipulated by deceit,
while I am tired, alone, and without a family who feels and acts on love,
and making hard decisions to insure my emotional survival,
I said "Goodbye" with tears streaming and love in my heart.

Very cool artwork! I haven't tried water colors....I am drawing with pastels.....and love them! I'm not sure I could do people in water color....maybe I'll give it a go...when I get tired of pastels. Very nice, thanks for sharing.

Thank you! Experimenting is part of the fun. Let go of the result and just enjoy! ;) Pastels are pretty fun to use too! I use to utilize quite a bit years ago. So glad you found something you love!
