In other recent postal weirdness, I ordered a book through a reasonabely reputable Australian online company and was advised that it would be shipped to me within a week of placing my order. A couple of days later, I received an automated e-mail advising that the supply information available at the time of my order had been out-of-date, that the product was being sourced from an alternate supplier and would be delayed until x date.
Bizarrely, I received an identical e-mail 3 days later, this time advising of an anticipated delivery date several weeks later on.
Resigning myself to most likely never using that company again, and assuming the repeated excuses about alternate suppliers to merely be some sort of lame sales excuse (the sales equivalent of "the dog ate my homework"), I was stunned last Friday to receive... you guessed it... 3 copies of my original purchase, all delivered at the same time, one originating from Melbourne, one from the US. and one from the U.K.
Thus far I have received no response to my query about what to do with the aditional copies.
