I think in an extremely limited sense your responses were a "problem"

you rightly refused to have your privacy breached as two second cheap ego trip for the dick of a doctor - instead of him feel the glow of letting everyone around know that he was your "saviour" he ran up against a well constructed boundary wall.

and, the dick who thought he could corner, threaten and bully a much smaller woman, suddenly found himself facing a honey badger.

I'm guessing that he was the sort of dick who, if he did try to launch a punch, would take a huge exagerated swing, giving you plenty of time to take that little half step to get your head out of the way, and for him to overbalance and land on his arse.

you provided those who would get their perverse little satisfactions at your expense - with a problem, the problem of getting their sh!t handed right back to them.

you didn't make the shit, you simply and rightly refused to take it.

Thinking about this,

Adrenaline isn't normally our friend, we're not used to feeling it for good reasons, it conjours up memories and feelings of all of the bad times we've felt it.
