I'm not born for this world it seems!
Yes you are!

Only because the thought memory's are hidden in the baggage closet, the body still reacts... Please don't think of the negatives in what I said.

In Australia, the GP's love to hand out what the people want, because they are too lazy to think about the patients needs :( The mental health group love to drink tea and talk about how good they are!

You Echo will repair your life, I believe in you

The squeeze machine...
Huh... Sadly, kind of reminded me on how artificial and detached from our cores we've become...
To not realize that maybe all we need is a long loving squeezing hug...

@BrokenGlass - yes, I think that would make so much difference. If I feel resentful about anything at all, it is that what has been done to me has prevented men from sticking around - partly because they believe (without even stopping to find out) that I am too damaged (thanks, society for all your prejudices) to maintain a relationship, and partly because my self-esteem is rock bottom, like so many of us here. Actually, the truth is, and this has really struck me on this site, most of us here are really lovely, loving people who just want to be free of all this and to be understood. Yes, some of us can't cope with hugs at the moment, but a greater percentage could do with a massive, long, loving hug from a warm human being. Virtual hugs freely accepted and offered by/from me....

@Echo Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to impose that you need a man necessarily, I was talking in general. No, really, the hugs should be between anyone, not just lovers... Damn.
I mean, look at us, as a Western society, we'd rather buy squeeze blankets/machines, whatever, rather than share the warmth of the existence... It's clear that we need it, we wouldn't keep so many pets if that wasn't the case. There's some kind of "staying cool" and shaming, not showing emotions. On contrary, somewhere in the East, there are still places (I hope so, present tense) where it's alright for two men to hold hands. Believe it or not, these places don't know what depression means. Bad for them, they can't use the excellence of technology, the squeezing machine.

@BrokenGlass - hey, I didn't read it that way. I agree with you absolutely. I guess it is just horrible that PTSD puts another layer of isolation in the way for many people. Off to cuddle my cats and that big old cushion!
