Relationship Being isolated

Wondering how carers have dealt with their loved ones isolating them. Also, how long does this period usually last for and what can I expect when they come back down from their PTSD episode?

There is no usual length. Some people isolate for a day, some for months, and some never come back. It's all very individual.

I was isolated for a day beforehand. Right now it has been a week but every time I try to call or text her something nice it just makes things worse. I'm starting to realize I can't say a thing but it's painful to be in this position and not know what exactly is going on.

If she is not responding to your attempts at contact, or if contacting her is causing problems, it's probably better to give her some space.

My isolation started back in November, and it’s still going to this day. I also have tried reaching out to him several times and he either doesn’t respond back, or he’ll respond very nasty. I feel your pain.
