Remember her "Poor George speech" at the convention? I also met Johnson, who signed more civil rights legislation than any other President. He nearly ended the Vietnam War before (repug) Nixon secretly sabotaged the Paris Peace Talks. Nixon later (and illegally) expanding the war into Laos and Cambodia. For years, Sam Rayburn, from Texas, was the quintessential Speaker of the House.
