I have now added what is called the "Best Post" feature which quickly pulls what is considered by members to be the best posts. There are three locations you can pull what are considered the best posts, they are:
  1. Forum Home - On the main list of forums if you choose best post from the sub-navigation menu, you will get all posts from all forums you have permission to see, that have the highest like ratings to a minimum of 10 likes,
  2. Thread List - When entering any forum (e.g. Introductions), if you choose best post you will see all posts in that forum only with more than 10 likes, maximum sorted to minimum, and
  3. Thread - When within a thread you can quickly see what members consider the best posts in that thread, which will have a value higher than 5 likes per post.
This basically enables you to pull what members consider the best content, most liked and valued, within a thread, forum or overall forums for quick preview.

For long threads, this is where this holds most value, as well as finding the best content in specific forums.

This should actually make finding some really good content that is buried within this site, more easily accessible to all, based on popularity of the posted subject content.

Lovely feature, and I expect this is over ambitious, but once I am in best post view, is there an official method to get out of it to see all the posts? Or is it just pressing back? I got tied up when I'd opened a new tab with best post view, as Safari doesn't carry the history over to the new tab.

And if a best post is responding to a previous post can I get back into the full thread at that particular best post to see what the post being responded to said. eg at Link Removed post 55 says "Ohhh my goodness Sheila, that is hysterical" but I can't see what was hysterical.

I use Safari in Mac, and history works perfectly for me to travel back and forth. Are you sure you haven't disabled it?

You need to read the first post, because it is self explanatory, and it depends on what view you're using best posts within to what you can do. If within a thread, specifically, you only need click on the date at the bottom of a post to return to the thread and post position. Other views have clickable thread titles and such.
