Try e bay KP, I have ordered a second hand one in good condition for under £5.

Done this before and had no problems at all. I once bought 2 books for half the price of what one of them new would have cost me.

Not sure if anyone knows this or not, but you can download a free kindle app to your PC from Amazon. So no big pay out for a kindle, and you can download the books as you would to the Kindle itself. Some free ones too.

I have had mine for a while, but forgot doh

I have the free download link if anyone wants it, for windows 7, Vista and XP. Probably more if you look into it. But it is one click and it downloads is seconds.

Don't stress KP... doesn't start until Feb 20th.

Got mine- waiting to start it because I am a fast, fast reader. Want to try to pace myself and read along with the schedule, rather than devouring it in one night.

Just read a really good one that way Friday: Dick Francis' Dead Heat. I love chef books, and this was a mystery novel about a chef plus a lot of horse-racing stuff and a sweet romance. I really enjoyed it & started reading it out loud to my husband, who immediately stole it.

What about having a thread for recommending books, but not for group read? Just for people to look over and try new authors?

This is kind of that thread... as what is posted in here does not get used for book club choices.
