Every new member to this site should read what you guys have written above. It's a lifetime struggle that takes effort every day. And, the same things don't work all the time. The only reason to keep trying is the beautiful world that's still out there for those who find ways to benefit from it.

As the resident anti-pseudo science geek here is my two cents:

Try it, if it works for you, run with it. If it doesn't, no harm done. (This is my official stance on acupuncture too.)

I agree @Sludge. At one point I though the idea of meditation was crazy. Stupid. Whatever.

Now I am becoming religious about it. Does it help? Probably very little. But it has a good placebo effect then. And I feel like I am doing something to help myself.

And I feel like I am doing something to help myself.

That, my friend, is the optimal thing. I think we all have a very natural tendency to resist that which we don't understand or can't easily quantify. And I agree with Sludge in that if you find it works for you go with it. Good advice.

We're all alone, so to speak, to find our own way with our lives and what's going to be best for us. One always great thing about the forums is there is never a lack for opinions from which to choose. That's always a good thing.

Hope ya'll have a great day.

The beauty of yoga is, when done properly, it IS meditation. It also provides additional benefits that magnify this effect by use of gravity, blood pressure manipulation (in a good way) and most importantly something to focus on.

The placebo effect, as they call it now, is in my opinion the greatest medical advance in human history.

Additionally, the parent company checks out. Researching the "FREE" part now. sorry folks, but ain't nothin' in this world that's free.

Hope I'm wrong though.

Edit: I signed up to check it out. Not into yoga, me, but I sure as hell will analyze the crap out of it just to see if it is too good to be true bullshit.

My wife and I do yoga. (Rather she does. My leg injuries get in the way so I go halfway.)

The mats face the north as they are supposed. I have a gong and a candle going after she leaves to shower. It's a magic moment for me to know that I am still married to her after so many trials. I don't follow the typical yoga routine but I do in meditation. Empty the mind and breath and think of nothingness, It's a good way to connect with the universe and realize how small a person you really are in the scheme of things. I feel better for a while anyway.

Got my access email about eight hours after signing up. looks legit so far. ill try it out ver the next couple of weeks and report back.

Another great thread, as has already been noted. I agree that we try anything and everything, mostly, just to have tools, that we can use at one time or another, camaraderie through combat vet group dynamics are big for me, and I really like the removing "STRESS" from PTSD. I completely agree with Jar that there is so much out there trying to capture the PTSD market, it is crazy and confusing. Obviously they are only tools, since nothing cures the beast. Thanks for posting JR

Well, it has been a few weeks, here is my report.

Besides yoga techniques found in any standard yoga book, all I have gotten out of this is a shit ton of spam emails both from the sponsor company and the sites my contact info was sold to.

In other words, nothing surprising or groundbreaking here.

But, if it works for you, roll with it.
