Thankyou for this thread @Solara.
It prompted me to watch another DVD, "Ten Questions for the Dalia Lama" for some inner peace today. As well I noticed a spelling mistake I had made on one of my post.:p:blackeye:

It is good to have positive influences on this site.

Uhm ok, it's a thread on Buddhism, I don't want it segued into Satanism. I'd say that a lot of threads on Christianity are very UN-Christian! This has nothing to do with the rules of Buddhism, everything to do with the guidelines of the forum of keeping threads on topic. Those going off on tangents have hijacked other threads recently so that's why I ask to stay on topic.

@arfie Buddhism is not a 'faith' nor does it require 'faith' from those who use its techniques.

Realizing your true nature by fully experiencing what is....in this moment, is what the Buddha taught.

Faith is an activity of the mind....Buddhism is beyond mind.

It is the separate self that would cling to a concept like faith....let it go, let all concepts go and freedom is made manifest.

Karma is only correctly understood when the Buddhas teachings as a whole are well understood. The crusty layers of culture and religiosity that have contaminated the Dharma have obscured the meaning and importance of Karma in a profound way.

Experience the reality that the separate self is an illusion and Karma will become clear.
