Doubtful, The fires were much further south than the emerald triangle where the bulk of it is grown. This I some-ting I get pissy about because people forget that 1/3of the sate is north of the bay area and act like it doesn't exist. California fires happen nearly every year. The area where the bulk of it is grown burns almost every year.
While it sucks that people have died in these fires. The plant life in that area has developed that the forests need the fires. It clear out disease that threaten the threes and many seeds require fire conditions to germinate.
Actually, I just read the article and it so full of bullshit so completely and utterly misleading that it is pathetic. The article says 7 farms. Sucks for the lively hood of the growers, but that isn't even gonna put a dent in supply.
