If they are very clear the accommodations are now denied despite giving them the same level of information needed for them to provide them in past... might be worth it to start a complaint with the Office for Civil Rights with the DOJ. That might wake up the school and union rep if the DOJ opens a case for investigation.
However, the risk of retaliation and the DOJ not taking the case is real. So I wouldn’t tell the school about starting the process unless they do decide to proceed with an investigation and then the DOJ can tell them.
Are the accommodations expensive? Did the accommodations go well in the past? Any idea what sparked them to suddenly push back on accommodations now? New staff involved? Is all else going well and they are just being foolish entitled administrators with this?
